Projects

KWenergy owns the TENTASOLAR patent, which combines solar panel technology with tents to provide portable and sustainable energy. The benefits of Tentasolar include:Portable energy solution,Sustainable energy, Cost effectiveness,Versatility, Convenience.

The Tentasolar refers to a specially developed product that allows photovoltaic systems to be installed on lightweight buildings without penetration of the canopy membrane. A lightweight hall consists of a load-bearing structure (steel, wood, etc.) covered with a canvas and is therefore suitable for all types of halls that do not need to be heated.

Thanks to the uniqueness of the Tentasolar, it is possible to mount the PV system on the hall without penetrating the canopy. For this purpose, certain structures are attached during the fabrication of the canopy, which later serve as anchor points for the substructure of the PV system. Thanks to the specially developed substructure, only very few supports are needed, which allows for a large hall girder spacing.

Of course, the solution was thought through further so that walkways, a fall protection system, lightning protection, etc. can also be attached without penetrating the canopy.

Applications

Ideally, the Tentasolar is used in new buildings. Only in new buildings can the hall builder prepare the canvas so that the Tentasolar can be installed without penetration of the canopy.

However, Tentasolar also offers advantages for existing halls. Thanks to its own substructure, girder distances of 5 m can be overcome without the need for additional support structures. Since anchor points are missing in existing halls, the substructure is attached to the hall by means of penetration of the canvas. The penetration holes are immediately sealed again with flat gaskets during assembly.

As part of the turnkey solutions offered by KWenergy, carports are also offered as a solution for those who want to maximise the profits of their parking spaces. Solar panels generate electricity for domestic use or for charging electric vehicles. These in turn provide cost savings and increased charging efficiency, giving car parks an attractive and modern touch as well as shade for parked cars. By using the roof of the carport for solar panels, valuable floor space is saved and optimally used.

Advantages

Canvas halls offer a lot of surface area that can be used for energy generation. Since the photovoltaic system is like a second layer on the hall, the canvas is protected from the weather and UV rays. Furthermore, the PV system can have a positive influence on the humidity in the hall, as some of the condensation forms on the photovoltaic system.

Thanks to its own load-bearing substructure made of light metal, the additional weight that weighs down the hall is less than 17 kg/m2.

Efficient Energy Generation

Tentasolar’s solutions are designed to maximise energy production and minimise energy losses, resulting in more efficient energy production.

Fast supply

The solutions are designed for rapid deployment and make it easy to set up and start generating energy.

Cost-Efficient

The patent enables customers to reduce the costs associated with traditional solar energy solutions and maximise their return on investment.

Versatility

The solutions are designed to be versatile and can be used in a wide range of applications, including remote areas where electricity is difficult to access.
